Brad Larson Obituary, Death – On November 2, 2023, Brad Larson, 62, of Sharon, Massachusetts, was killed at home. On Sunday, November 12, at 2:00 PM, there will be a service at the Unitarian Church in Sharon, Massachusetts. On Friday, November 17, at 2:00 PM, there will be a service at the First United Methodist Church in Yankton, South Dakota. Brad, the adored son of Merle and Virginia Larson, was born in Mitchell, South Dakota, on October 23, 1961. In 1980, he earned his diploma from Yankton High School.

As appreciative parents, we would want to thank all of the instructors, Sunday school instructors, Scout leaders, music instructors, friends, and friends’ parents who have contributed so much to his development. He received his degree from Northfield, Minnesota’s St. Olaf College. He developed a respect and love for different people and cultures as a result of his involvement in their Global Semester, where about 20 students and a professor traveled the world while living and studying.

This experience also made him want to travel more. Following graduation, he embarked on a solo journey, spending nine months exploring and absorbing other cultures. He made friends everywhere and stayed wherever he could, even at a Buddhist monastery. Brad completed his work study at MIT while earning his master’s degree from Harvard University. Using people’s “stories” to connect them, he started his career developing museum exhibits at the Children’s Museum in Boston.

Later in his career, he developed “Story Habitat,” a tool that allows cities, institutions, churches, etc. to capture and preserve memories, celebrations, etc. of that place and time. Lucas Jasper Sincero Larson is his son from his marriage to Paula Sincero. Paula and Brad later got divorced. His specialty was simplicity. A cloud, a single flower, and a rock brought him joy, and he captured these moments in meaningful Haikus and stunning images. This one was written two weeks ago, on his 62nd birthday.
