Brent Nesdahl Obituary, Death – Chief Brent Nesdahl passed away on November 18, 2023, and the Emerado Volunteer Fire Department responds to his final alarm with much sadness. Chief Nesdahl’s devotion to the welfare of others was evident from the start of his committed service to the community in June 2009. He had a number of positions throughout the years, rising up the ranks until being appointed Chief in February 2016—a role he remained in until his untimely death.

A history of unflinching commitment and unselfish dedication, Chief Nesdahl left an enduring impression on both the Emerado Volunteer Fire Department and the community he so devotedly served. All those who had the honor of working with him will sincerely miss his leadership, tenacity, and friendship. We send our deepest sympathies to Chief Nesdahl’s wife, kids, and granddaughter during this trying time.
