Fr. Martin O’Keeffe, OMI Obituary, Death – From the Oblate House of Retreat on Tyrconnell Road in Inchicore, we are saddened to share the news of the demise of Fr. Martin O’Keeffe, OMI. Fr. Martin made an unmistakable impression on communities all over the United Kingdom and Ireland via his priestly career. He was born in Ballynoe, Co. Cork. During his extensive ministry, Fr. Martin served at Kilburn, London, Birmingham,

Menai Bridge parish on the island of Anglesey in North Wales, and Glenisland, County Mayo. Many people were helped by his unshakable dedication to his work and his compassionate devotion. On the 16th of November, 2023, Fr. Martin O’Keeffe passed away quietly at St. James’s Hospital, surrounded by the people who loved him. His brother John, sister Mary, twin sister Nelly, and sister Julianne all before him in death and now rest in peace.

The O’Keeffe and Sheehan families, as well as his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, great-grandnieces, cousins, friends, and confreres in the Oblate order, are devastated by the news of Fr. Martin’s passing. On Sunday night, the community will assemble to pay their respects as Fr. Martin’s remains is taken to the House of Retreat’s Oratory Chapel.

Burial will take place at the Community Cemetery after a Funeral Mass at the Church of Mary Immaculate (Oblates), Inchicore, on Monday at noon. The Oblate Community honors the life of Fr.
