Philadelphia Eagles Make Fun Nod to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

The Philadelphia Eagles are celebrating in style!

The NFL team beat the Kansas City Chiefs 21-17 in a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl on Monday and celebrated by posting a fun friendship bracelet in a nod to Travis Kelce’s romance with Taylor Swift.

“In our winning era,” the Eagles wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter) alongside an image of a green and white bracelet bearing the words “EAGLES WIN.”

Kelce and Swift’s friendship bracelets have become famous since the Chiefs’ tight end, 34, told brother Jason Kelce that he was unable to give Swift, 33, a personalized bracelet at one of her Eras tour stops.

“I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” Kelce said on the New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast in July, before joking that he was “a little butthurt” by the event.

“If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets, and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it,” Kelce added.

In October, Kelce’s teammates took his comments one stage further and gave each other friendship bracelets, with Kelce saying in a TikTok video, “I know what these are all about.”

Swift was first spotted watching Kelce at a Chiefs game in September. A source told PEOPLE at the time, “They’re having fun,” adding, “this was Taylor’s first time meeting his mom and dad, and everyone was enjoying themselves. She was super chill and low-key hanging out with his friends and family.”

The multiple Grammy-winner returned to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on Oct. 22 wearing a beaded bracelet bearing Kelce’s jersey number, 87. She teamed this with a gold Cartier Juste un Clou necklace and classic 1990 sweatshirt from clothing brand Ellie Mae Vintage.

Kelce recently opened up about how his romance with Swift began in WSJ. Magazine’s December/January issue.

“I had somebody playing Cupid,” the NFL star revealed. “She’ll probably hate me for saying this, but…when she came to Arrowhead, they gave her the big locker room as a dressing room, and her little cousins were taking pictures…in front of my locker.”

Talking about their first time meeting in New York City, Kelce continued that “we had already kind of been talking, so I knew we could have a nice dinner and, like, a conversation, and what goes from there will go from there.”
