After more than thirty years with Fieldcrest Cannon, the aforementioned customer support professional has left her position. After Shelby retired, she began working as a caretaker for elderly residents in her community. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Garrett Axsom and Isaiah Huff. John Lloyd Axsom, Jr., Shelby’s husband of 49 years, her grandson Andrew Blake Clark, her son-in-law Tim Huff, and nine of her brothers and three of her sisters are among her immediate family members who have passed away. The memorial service will be held at Fair Funeral Home on November 25, 2023, at 2 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Dennis Seaver.
There will be a visiting for an hour before the service, from 1:00 to 2:00. Burial will take place at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens in Eden, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to either Trellis Supportive Care (at 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, North Carolina 27103) or Immanual Friends Church (at 50 South Fieldcrest Road, Eden, North Carolina 27288).
