William Howlett Obituary, Death – Feeling both sadness and gratitude for a life well lived, we now announce the peaceful passing of William J. Howlett, Jr., also lovingly called “Buster,” on November 15, 2023, at the age of 95. Buster was the devoted mother of Karen Jaskolka (Marc), Kevin Howlett, and Michael Howlett (Tricia), as well as the devoted husband of the late Lillian. In addition, he was cherished by his great-grandchildren Alec, Gabriel, Callia, Olivia, Anya, Ada, and Lucie, and he was the loving father figure to Dana, Marc, Amanda, Ryan, Jillian, and Matthew.

Buster’s influence extends beyond his immediate family to include a wider network of nieces, nephews, and relatives who have fond recollections of his friendly disposition and kindness. Even though Buster’s children, John and William III, passed so tragically, his legacy will live on forever in the people he loved. In order to respect Buster’s wishes, the services will go place in secrecy.

If someone would like to offer a meaningful way for others to grieve for Buster, the family suggests that they donate to the Wounded Warrior Project in his memory. You can send donations electronically to the Wounded Warrior Project by visiting their official website at www.woundedwarriorproject.org. Alternatively, you can mail your donation to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.

As we remember the passing of a remarkable man, we should consider Buster’s ability to show love, the lessons he imparted, and the enduring impact he had on the lives of his friends and family. I pray that the departed rest in peace forever, and that the people who were fortunate enough to know him will always carry his memories in their hearts.
